Advisory Board:

Jefferson County Weed Board role is to administer the County Noxious Weed Program, which includes budgeting education, spraying of county roads, biological programs and noxious weed trust fund grants. The members are:

The Weed Board meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7:00pm at the Jefferson County Central Shop Building.

What kind of plant is this?

Does the County have any equipment I can borrow?

A:

Yes, the County has several 55 gallon skid type sprayers that can be rented. There is a $75 deposit, which is refundable. The rental fee is $10 per day for the use of the skid sprayer. Backpack sprayers are also available at no cost, but do require a $75 refundable deposit.

Q:

What can I do about my neighbor who will not control their weeds?

A:

The County will do a non compliance procedure against the person if the allegations are true and the Weed Board believes the person is in violation of the Montana Noxious Weed Control Act.
